Hi there! I’m Ms. Carter, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to Principles of Audio & Video Production — where creativity, storytelling, and technology collide!

I am a proud product of Galena Park ISD, having attended Galena Park Elementary and Galena Park Middle School, and graduating from North Shore Senior High School (Go Mustangs!). I earned my Bachelor’s in Corporate Communication and my Master’s in Education in Applied Digital Learning and Leadership, both from Lamar University. I am also excitedly anticipating my upcoming graduation from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where I am completing my Master’s in Nonprofit Administration.

As a teacher, I like to think of myself as light-hearted, caring, fun, yet firm. My classroom is a place where students are seen, heard, and encouraged to take creative risks. I prioritize safety, inclusion, student choice, creativity, and innovation in everything we do.

In this course, students will develop their digital literacy, technology applications knowledge, graphic design skills, and audio and video production techniques — skills that will serve them both in school and in life.

Most importantly, I remind my students that perfection is never the goal — effort and growth are. Each day is a new opportunity to create, learn, and level up. I’m excited to guide, challenge, and cheer you on as we build something amazing together.
